Is using the cross in worship acceptable to God? What are your opinions on this information?

God rejects worship that uses images or symbols, including the cross. God commanded the Israelites not to use “the form of any symbol” in their worship, and Christians are likewise told to “flee from idolatry.”—Deuteronomy 4:15-19; 1 Corinthians 10:14.
First-century Christians did not use the cross in worship. * The teachings and example of the apostles set a pattern that all Christians should adhere to.—2 Thessalonians 2:15.
Use of the cross in worship has a pagan origin. * Hundreds of years after the death of Jesus, when the churches had deviated from his teachings, new church members “were permitted largely to retain their pagan signs and symbols,” including the cross. (The Expanded Vine’s Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words) However, the Bible does not condone adopting pagan symbols to help make new converts.—2 Corinthians 6:17.

You are not supposed to answer your own question. By doing that, you have clearly shown that your mind is already made up so that you will only choose as a Best Answer one that agrees with your own opinion! This is exasperating.

However, to answer your question, consider this true account I heard first hand. A lady in the former church of my minister told him this, about her son, when he was playing pool with some friends. As he leaned forward over the table, a cross on a chain round his neck dangled out from underneath his shirt.

A friend shouted out, “What are you wearing that for?” The lad replied, “Jesus died for me, on a cross.”
His friend retorted, “Would you put a bullet that killed your father on a chain, and wear that round your neck?”
“Yes,” the Christian lad replied. “I would if he took that bullet for me.”

Once you realize who it was, dying on that cruel instrument of torture for your sins, you might see it differently.

My or anyone else' opinion is worthless.

It is Jehovah's opinion that counts.

Christians walk by faith, not by sight. A cross even if not viewed as an idol (when in reality it is) is still 'by sight' and not by faith.

We remember what Jesus did, not by 'wearing' a religious symbol, but by living our lives as he lived.
We remember what Jesus did, not by 'wearing' a religious symbol, but by being obedient to the one who died for us.

More JW nonsense. The cross is not an object of worship. The cross is a symbol of remembrance for what Christ did for us. If we use it to remember Good Friday, it would be a good thing. If we worshiped the cross itself, it would be idolatry. But we worship a risen Savior.

God does not approve the use of the cross or the pole or any other object as far as worship is concerned it's all right to have a cross as a symbol. Like a banner like a flag but no more than that. There is one image and only one image that is acceptable in the eyes of God as a worship symbol that is Jesus Christ Hebrews chapter one tells us that Jesus Christ is an exact image representing God. That's why God made Jesus Christ so that man could look at Jesus Christ and know what God was like and worship God. If you actually worship Jesus Christ and Obey him the worst thing that will happen to you when you come before God is that God will send you away to be with Jesus Christ for the Christian regeneration program of a thousand years. The Bible tells us there will come a time when Jesus Christ hands his kingdom back to his father.
