Aria Dawn or Aria Josephine?

My husband and I are having issues deciding on the middle name. My husband's name is Joseph (Joe), but that's not why we chose Josephine as a possible middle name. We genuinely, without naming our child after him because I'm not about that, like Josephine. However, Dawn is my mother's name, and that's the reason we chose Dawn as a possibility. I love naming children after family members as long as they're not after the parents. Lol

So please help? My family and his are no help (as his family thinks we'd be naming the child after him so that's their obvious choice) and my family keeps assuring me that when the time comes we'll decide. So...help? :P

Aria Dawn is nice not only because it flows well but because you want to honor your mom. That's why I think Dawn is the nicer choice. Josephine is a nice choice as well.

Aria Dawn. Josephine is ugly. Dawn is prettier and has more meaning.

Aria is a very pretty name.

Between the two, I like Dawn
Josephine doesn't really fit well with Aria.

Hmm.. i like Josephine better but since you added context it is very endearing and traditional to name the middle name after family.. but you could definitely roll with naming it after the father 😊

Aria Dawn has a better flow than Josephine. If You were to say, Aria Josephine I would remember Josephine. Dawn compliments the first name without competeing with it.

Both Dawn and Josephine are great names, but I personally like Josephine better with Aria.

I always think it sounds a bit odd when someone's first and middle names (or first and last) are both word names (aria being a musical term and dawn being a time of day)

While I prefer Josephine to Dawn as a name, Aria Dawn flows better.

Josephine by a long shot. It flows beautifully with Aria, whereas Dawn sounds like it's cutting off the flow. And it's just a much prettier name in general.
