sentence before this: He wandered off in the jungle at night.

The previous sentences in the past tense. In the second sentence, you’ve got him in the present tense.

I don’t think Seem Strange is Normal, so I’d like to change Normal to
Acceptable.
Even though it may seem strange to wander alone in the jungle, what he did was totally acceptable.
