"There are some prayers that God does not answer. Consider two factors that would cause God to ignore a person’s prayer.

1. The prayer goes against God’s will
God does not answer requests that go against his will, or his requirements, which are in the Bible. (1 John 5:14) For example, the Bible requires that we avoid being greedy. Gambling promotes greed. (1 Corinthians 6:9, 10) So, God will not answer your prayer if you pray to win the lottery. God is not a genie that you can summon to do your bidding. Actually, you can be thankful for this. Otherwise, you might have to fear what others could ask God to do.—James 4:3.

2. The person praying acts rebelliously
God does not listen to those who are determined to offend him by their actions. For example, God told those who claimed to serve him but acted rebelliously: “Even though you make many prayers, I am not listening; with bloodshed your very hands have become filled.” (Isaiah 1:15) But if they had changed their ways and “set matters straight” with God, he would have listened when they prayed to him.—Isaiah 1:18.

God always answers prayer. Yes, no, and wait. All three are valid answers, and they are decided by him, not us.

There is no Definitive Church ruling on this interpretation so a better approach is to say WHat is compatible with this view?

◄ James 4:3 ►
When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.

To phrase this in a more positive way: For a person operating squarely within the express will of God, virtually every prayer will be answered in the affirmative.

A person can live a more loving and virtuous life by reciting the rosary carefully every day.

Yes, I agree that what we ask for must be good in God’s estimation, or according to His will.

John 14:13-14: “Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.”

Matthew 7:7-11: “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!”

It isn't accurate. God answers the heart-felt prayer of the sincere, who have the real intent to follow him, and who petition the Eternal Father in the name of the Son. The best example for answered prayers would be the Joseph Smith story, where he had the vision of God and Jesus, who answered his sincere plea to know which church was true.

Indeed it is true. Those who walk the righteous path God/Jesus/Holy Ghost listens. Those who worship and serve God/Jesus/Holy Ghost, pray for this world its people and leaders and feed the hungry walk this path. <t><

The ONLY prayers God hears are from those of His Church.... and from those honestly seeking to be........... ALL of those not of, or seeking to be, of God's Church, are going against God
