The molecular formula of caffeine is C₈H₁₀N₄O₂.

Each mole of caffeine (C₈H₁₀N₄O₂) contains 4 moles of N atoms.

No. of moles of N atoms in 0.40 mol of caffeine = (0.40 mol) × 4 = 1.6 mol (2 sig. fig.)

Formula: of caffeine is C8H10N4O2

there are 4 moles of N in a mole of the caffeine

so in 0.40 moles of caffeine we have 1.6 moles of N ( significant figures ignored in this case ?
