I'm a person that has recovered from crack cocaine addiction I'm now like 28 years clean of crack cocaine I'm going to answer your question politely and honestly a person that has been a drug addict for an extended period of time might get off the drugs and might never crave them again but their ability to have relationships with other human beings is going to suffer probably for the rest of their life once your mind is permanently squeezed of the feel-good chemical.
By drugs. The human brain may or may not recover the ability to have normal healthy relationships with people the person may never ever be able to feel love or friendship like they should be able to.

This is the danger of drugs it can permanently damage your brain. I've been clean of all drugs now for 28 years and I consider myself a sociopath I avoid people. Except for business purposes to get their money so that I can live.

Besides that I feel very little love or hate for anybody.

Don't buy into that 12-step cult. Unless you were a meth addict, your brain is probably intact. Just go live your life without highly addictive drugs like cigarettes, alcohol, and heroin.
