黃 is the correct character for your last name of Huang.

However your given name of Mei Lin, has too many different characters. The ones you used is one such combination but there are others. So you'll have to ask your parents what characters they specifically chose for your name.

"美凜" is pronounced "mei lin" in Mandarin, and means "Beauty." If this is the characters your parents chose, your full name means "Yellow Beauty." I'm not so sure that is what they chose though.

As for going from Chinese to Japanese, that gets tricky.
