What exotic animal should i get?
I want a reptile thats low maintenance, doesnt bite, and likes humans, and isnt a snake (i know that narrows it down to practically nothing) i really want a chameleon but that probably not a great starter so what do you guys think about a small leopard gecko ?
ALSO if i dont get a reptile i want an exotic mammal so what do you think a good starter would be i really want a baby raccoon so something along those lines.

Leopard geckos are simple to care for and generally meet your expectations. If you want a pet that particularly unique, there are a ton of really cool leopard gecko color morphs and most are very affordable. They are generally docile, but can they can bite and they will never show you real affection. You need to do your research and be realistic in your expectations.
Exotic mammals are much more challenging. You really need to question your motives. This animal won't be domesticated, it won't be naturally tame and it will be difficult and expensive to treat its health issues. There is nothing a raccoon can give you that you can't get from a cat, but with a fraction of the legal and financial hardship.
a common green iguana preferably a female would be idea. I got one as a baby, she was 3 inches, 6 with her tail. I had no clue what I was doing and bought her at a flea market on a whim. Because they are vegetarian and I hate bugs. I figured it was like those you get at a circus that dies in a month, lol. But she kept growing. I resolved to handle her every single day no matter how tired I was because I didn't want to end up with a biter. I didn't know she was female until much later. She was so cool. Grew up very tame, and i took her everywhere I went until she was too big, then only for certain events. I would get PAID to bring her to events she was that cool. She ate her vegetables and hard boiled eggs. She usually stayed on top if her cage at liberty. Then I got Dobermans which were determined to kill her. She had to stay in a bedroom, and at an event a family with 5 stairstep children fell in love with her, everyone, even the mom. After a few hours of their fascination, I asked them if they would like to have her, I explained about the dogs and they agreed to give her a home. It turned out well for Spike, the 5 children and the parents who couldn't believe I'd just give her to them, with all her stuff. I just wanted her to have a good home. She was the size of a small cat and had her entire tail so she was about 6 feet long. She was so cool. Because I handled her every day when she was a baby. THAT is the key. Males are more aggressive, but I think with a lot of handling they'd be ok. This species seems to be forgiving of beginners, and easy to keep.
All animals have the potential to bite.
Reptiles are NOT low maintenence. They all have specific needs for heat, humidity, UVB amd nutrition. Some may be lower needs than others, but they are more maintenance than many other small pets.
Exotic mammals are not low maintenance either.
A baby raccoon WILL bite, and raccoons make terrible pets.
Get a rock. They dont bite
Almost any mammal potentially could bite. Baby raccoons are cute but adolescents can be unmanageable.
Exotic animals should stay in nature.
ALL reptiles are high maintenance so don't get one since you'd likely kill it.
All animals bite, but you probably know that. Ruling out a ball python leaves a few lizards. Do NOT get a raccoon (google why) other small starter mammals (that you still need to do research on) includes chinchillas and sugar gliders. Do NOT get a pet if you can’t take care of it. It doesn’t deserve that.
