Is it true that a short or small person can't beat a tall or big person in a fight?

The reason I ask this is because I was listening to someone on YouTube and they said size and height and weight is The only thing that really matter in a fight and that the only way to beat big people is to just gain weight and lift weights. If this is true then doesn't that mean that there is no hope of a short or small person to beat a tall or big person? If so how? Because when people mention be in and out that's easier said then done. A big or tall person can just counter you. People also say get in on the inside but that's easier said then done. A tall person is hard to breach so how to you beat them? A big person is invincible so how do you beat them?

"A big person is invincible so how do you beat them?" If someone is invincible, then there is no way to beat them. That is the definition of the word "invincible". However, there is no such thing as an invincible human being. Invincibility implies perfection, and no human being is perfect. Again, that's what it means to be human as oppose to a god.

"People also say get in on the inside but that's easier said then done." Everything and anything is easier said than done. If you think the goal in life is to coast to the finish line without any effort, you are in for a sad life. Nothing worthwhile in your life will ever come easy - easy is for failures. Getting inside a taller attackers reach is a skill that has to be trained and it is not easy. It will not happen in 5 easy lessons and you will be lucky to learn it in 500 hard lessons. It takes sweat, time, and even blood because you will be making lots of mistakes in training and in sparring which can get you a bloody and/or broken nose, black eye, bruises on your pretty face and maybe even a tooth or two knocked out. But what's the alternative? Stand there and let a taller attacker take shots at you at will while you just stand there and take it?

If size, height, and weight is all that really matters, then explain to me why any martial art exists in the world? What would be the point? Could it be that strength or physical attributes can be defeated by skill? Could it be that your physical strengths is limited, but skill has no limit except what you impose on yourself?

It can happen that a small person beats a big person, but it is not as common in real life as it is in movies and other forms of fiction. If all other things are equal, the bigger man wins, thus we have weight classes in many sports.

There's an old adage: "It isn't the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog."

Size is a factor, don't get me wrong, but it's only one of many. To say that a short or small person can't beat a tall or big person in a fight is completely false.

You would need skill to overcome the size and strength difference. More you practice more you'll likely beat a bigger person.

No,

See Anne Wolfe's Knockout of Vonda Ward on You Tube 5'9 opponent 6'6 good night!

Of course not. Look at Mike Tyson. He was small for a heavyweight and destroyed men much bigger than he was.
Bruce Lee was an actor.

How many times is this question going to be asked? It has been asked many times here. I suggest looking those answers.
And size really does not matter. It is skill and technique that will win. Keeping calm and your head on straight will prevail.

Height helps with reach, and weight helps with strength, but there's much more to fighting than that. It's the reason we train martial arts. Look at the Chinese people. Generally speaking they tend to be shorter and smaller than most westerners and yet they developed martial arts that enable them to fight larger opponents. Skill, speed and technique can win over size and strength.

Believe me, I've taken down plenty of guys bigger than myself.

Nope, size and weight don't mean anything at all.
Skill, training, and experience.
A friend named little John, he is little, like 5'4" all of 140 pounds, but a former army ranger, special ops.
He can easily take on and defeat 5 guys 6 foot and 190 pounds. never takes a hit but can break your leg.
5 big guys confront you,you only fight 4, the last guy runs.

If that were true then Bruce Lee would not have been the Badass he was. He would not have change how the entire world looks at Martial Arts. AND, he would not have been the greatest Martial Artist that lived.

That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. It doesn’t matter about the size, weight, etc of the person. Anyone can be beat. Just because someone is bigger than you doesn’t mean they’re automatically stronger and unbeatable

If you believe that you can;t beat someone larger, stronger, ...etc. then you likely won;t be able to. However, anyone can beat anyone else regardless of size ...etc. Consider that sticking a finger in someone eye will have a strong affect regardless of if they are a 95 pound weakling or a 250 pound strong man. A finger lock can make someone of any size wish they had never started a fight with you. There is no such thing as an unbeatable person or invincible person.
