I SPEAK AND WRITE WELL CUZ I WAS A SECRETARY FOR MANY YEARS INCLUDING IN US ARMY

It's informal, but readily understood by this native English speaker, at least.

I think as long as a person is understood then it's the right way of speaking. It really pisses me off when I am trying to understand what a person is saying and someone interrupts because they want to be the diction police screwing up the train of thought.
I don't know what I am on about (in terms of this question) but I suppose a lot of my answers here are about speaking correctly, so perhaps I am on about the right way of speaking. Being on about something is an idiom, if that is what you actually wanted to know. It is quite acceptable to use, so I assume, yes, it is the "right way of speaking", even if there likely are better ways to express the idea (many ways to say about the same thing as "what are you on about?").
Read the new world translation bible it shows us the way to speak perfect English. Also where most of our laws come from
