A.
Li: 2, 1
Li atom will lose 1 electron to become the electronic configuration of He (He: 2). Therefore, the ion of Li carries 1 positive charge, i.e. Li⁺.

B.
S: 2, 8, 6
S atom will gain 2 electrons to become the electronic configuration of Ar (Ar: 2, 8, 8). Therefore, the ion of S carries 2 negative charges, i.e. S²⁻.

C.
Ca: 2, 8, 8, 2
Ca atom will lose 2 electrons to become the electronic configuration of Ar (Ar: 2, 8, 8). Therefore, the ion of Ca carries 2 positive charges, i.e. Ca²⁺.

D.
Al : 2, 8, 3
Al atom will lose 3 electrons to become the electronic configuration of Ne (Ne: 2, 8). Therefore, the ion of Al carries 3 positive charges, i.e. Al³⁺.

E.
F: 2, 7
F atom will gain 1 electron to become the electronic configuration of Ne (Ne: 2, 8). Therefore, the ion of F carries 1 negative charge, i.e. F⁻.
