2KClO₃(s) ⇌ 2KCl(s) + 3O₂(g) …… ΔS° = 494.6 J/(mol K)

ΔS° of the reaction = 3S°(O₂, g) + 2S°(KCl, s) - 2S°(KClO₃, s)
494.6 J/(mol K) = 3S°(O₂, g) + 2[82.6 J/(mol K)] - 2[143.1 J/(mol K)

Standard molar entropy of O₂(g) at 25°C
= (1/3) (494.6 - 2×82.6 + 2×143.1) J/(mol K)
= 205.2 J/(mol K)
