Why do I get scary dreams about my exam results?

This was a major exam which people take two or three years to study for. I had this terrible dream where I got my results and it was all the grades I feared of getting. For example, a C in English, it was so scary that I woke up. I felt like crying immediately after, I did mess up a bit because I was so scared during the exams. The exams got over like 6 or 7 days ago, why am I dreaming about it today?

You are anticipating too much to the point of hurting your chances.

The scary part for you is not doing the exams, but the results. Since they're still looming and are out of your control, you feel a sense of fear and trepidation about the outcome.
Just know there really is nothing you can do now and the eventual score will come about whether you sit about at home, go out with friends, read a book, exercise or begin a new hobby.
Even though none of the above mentioned activities will change the result, they may take your mind off the worry about the outcome.
Something I've noticed though, most people who worry about the scores actually do better than expected, so you should anticipate quite a decent and positive result.
