應該說，anything 常出現於否定和疑問句，但這是使用習慣和語意決定，不是攧撲不破的法則。
記得: 不是先有文法才有英文。

下面兩例子都使用 something.
Don’t ever let someone tell you that you can’t do something.
Never give up on something that you can't go a day without thinking about.'

anything 當然也可使用於肯定句
‘Dad is a DIY expert and he fixes anything that needs repairing in a matter of seconds.’

原問題從語意上來說，anything 是最佳選擇。其實多數時候，你並不需要文法告訴你如何取捨，除非你忘了你的腦袋中還有個語言中樞。
