Is it possible to get rid of Schrizophrenia without medication?

I wasn’t diagnosed with Schrizophrenia, I do have an appointment with a Faith Counseler in a few days. When I told the receptionist my symptoms they sounded a lot like Schrizophrenia symptoms and she said she experienced the same thing and hers was caused by built up stress. I’ve had a rough year last year, I thought people were giving me weird to looks everywhere I went, to a random guy off the steet telling me I was drugged and used to be a singer to me accusing my family of thinking there was something wrong with me. Is there any kind of meditation I could use because i don’t know how much longer I can take this. I want to believe my family when they tell me I’m healthy but I want to actually feel healthy. Also, some of the symptoms I’m experiencing are hallucinations and imagining things that aren’t real and don’t exist.

go to a public health clinic and see a regular doctor.

If you are having these symptoms, you should really see a psychiatrist as soon as possible. A psychiatrist is qualified to make a diagnosis, and can prescribe medications as well. If you have schizophrenia, the sooner you begin treatment, the better your chances of a normal life.
Medications are crucial; but there are other approaches that can also make a big difference. For this, I recommend you contact the local office National Alliance on Mental Illness [NAMI]. https://www.nami.org/#
They provide all kinds of information and help for you, and they also have classes to help your family and friends to understand what you are going through.

No. Schizophrenia is not something you can get rid of, with or without medication. Schizophrenia is not caused by stress; although stress could trigger an episode. There is no way to help yourself through meditation or rational thinking when you have hallucinations or delusions because there's no way to know whats real and what isn't. You might think you hear the faith counselor telling you to something, while in reality its just another hallucination leading you farther from reality. You are still mostly in the real world, so you stand a chance of at least controlling the problems with medication. The medications really suck, but they are the only treatment that has any chance at all of helping a person in your situation.

Mental illnesses like schizophrenia can be treated but not cured.

Hopefully you will get a correct diagnosis and an appropriate treatment plan when you see the counselor.
