更新1:

POLITICS ONLY WE NEED TO KNOW WHAT QUALIFIES someone to hold office. a degree, who they know, or simply voters wanting them to be there. BUT THE SAYING DOES, TOO MANY POLITICIANS ARE dumb and corrupt. THE SMART GUYS TALK TOO MUCH

更新2:

POLITICS for public office. NO LICENSE, CERTIFICATIONS, OR SPECIFIC DEGREE REQUIREMENTS. when these folks make mistake,s it hurt all of us. NOT ONLY IS PHD AND DOCTORATES GOOD, but they come top tier schools. WE NEED only the most competent because WHEN THEY MAKE ERRORS, we all hurt. but when their degrees like 20 years old, they need refreshers too

Oh, yes. Make sure that no one with real world middle class experience never gets to serve at any level.

No. In theory, ANYBODY born in the US and over 35 can be a US president, but the fact is that most of them were lawyers. I certainly wouldn't like to have an intelligent only-graduated high school person declared unfit for the job in lieu of a perhaps "did it by the book and got my Ph.D" drudge. (No, not all, or even most, people with Ph.Ds are drudges, but it's quite possible.)

It would be nice, however, a leader would need to have a wide variety of knowledge, and PhDs usually have a narrow specialized field of knowledge, that they are experts in.
