When I am erect, I can only pull my foreskin back until it stays under the "ridge" of the head. I'm not sure how far it will go when flaccid but I think it will go farther than that.
I am able to achieve orgasm without problems on my own, my concern is that if I have sex one day, I will either damage or snap my frenulum as I suspect it is too short.
How long should my foreskin be able to go when erect?

As long as you can pull your foreskin back all the way and wash under their thoroughly and completely with warm soapy water everyday... That's all that's important.

The length of the frenulum determines the degree of retraction that is possible. If it retracts behind the head when you have an erection, then you probably are safe. Don't penetrate without natural or artificial lubrication and do it slowly.

For most guys the foreskin simply slides back fully to expose the head, but some guys the foreskin does not even fully retract. Either way works; if your foreskin retracts fine during solo sex and you are not having any issues with the frenulum, them won't have any during sexual intercourse-- guys tend to be more physical with their gear solo than what it will encounter during sex.
