They are totally different. Do whatever you are good at and what you enjoy. Too many people end up unhappy in the wrong job because they studied a subject they thought they should, while people who are happy in their careers are doing exactly what thy love doing.
Take some personality tests online. If you are logical, analytical and left-brained, take law.
If you are creative and imaginative and right-brained, take literature.

I don't know how someone can tell you what to study. Anyway, there are many people who get a degree that doesn't lead to any jobs. So you should do the research yourself because why would you make an important decision based on what a stranger told you

What about them? When you grow up maybe you'll learn how to speak in complete sentences.

English Lit, because I think you can get a wider variety of jobs from it.
