Just indicates your own personal preference, really. We all develop habits and techniques which we are used to and which we enjoy more than others. You might try different types of lubrication if you want to see if different ones make a difference; coconut oil is often found to be good. Nope it's not normal but there's nothing wrong with it if that's what you like. The problem is if you get so used to that you can't have sex with a person without the sock. A sock is not going work for intercourse. I would suggest just using a sock for special occasions, like once a week so your body doesn't get trained to only react to a sock.
