why didn't they rebuild the twin towers after 9/11?

it became apparent that the designs were somewhat flawed

We rebuilt something else. To see a replica or similar skyline would have been heartbreaking. Part of the footprint of the original towers is for memorial, as the towers grounds are a mass graveyard. I felt it was the ultimate disrespect to build any buildings not for entirely memorial purposes there ever again.

Because they (the corporation that owned the land) decided to replace it with a new tower and a memorial.

Maybe it costed to much or they were scared it was gonna happen again

Keep in mind that it wasn't Just two buildings that came down. They fell on all the other buildings in that area. And most of them have been rebuilt. And why no two towers again? A couple of reasons, once being Insurance-whether or not insurance covered One incident or Two. Also, both buildings were not restored, partly out of respect, and partly due to the impracticality of doing so.

Those buildings were never a glorious addition to the skyline, they were simply lumps of building. To have replaced them exactly would have been a travesty, demeaning the memory of those who lost their lives there.

oh, if you didnt catch what they actually did, they put a mosque there .. imagine that dumptruck load of bs in this fine country of ours and people allowing it .. then they elect a president with a highly muslim sounding name .. imagine that bs to and how brainwashed the public is .. its no wonder they think they can get away with anything now and the public is plumb stupid ...

I think so, too, but the demand for office space in lower Manhattan had changed; it would have been difficult to fill both towers with tenants.

Because Bush would have just brought them down again.
