English question, please help?

The park is near the waterfront.
"waterfront" 解作「水邊」/「濱水區」
-- 既然 waterfront =水邊(在 水的邊緣)，則 near the waterfront = 靠近水的邊緣；
那麽、「靠近」的意思似乎重複了！

∴ 這兩句最好改為：-
I) The park is on the waterfront. [ 這個公園是在海濱/海旁/濱水區 ]
　The restaurant is on the waterfront. [ 這餐廳是在海濱/海旁/濱水區 ]
或 :
II)The park is located in the waterfront. [ . . . 是位於 海濱/海旁/濱水區 ]
　The restaurant is located in the waterfront.
