You'd have to get it checked in person by a doctor to find out for sure, but in my (non-professional) opinion, it's less likely that you have carpal tunnel syndrome than a different problem. Carpal tunnel syndrome causes wrist pain for some patients, but usually CTS patients complain most about pain in the hand, particularly in the thumb, middle finger, and middle-firger side of the ring finger. It's called CTS because the nerve going to that side of the hand passes through the carpal tunnel in the wrist where it is compressed, causing pain to radiate down in the hand.

you'll see that the more likely explanation for your wrist pain with the activities you mention is a different problem like a hairline scaphoid fracture (possibly just a hairline fracture), wrist tendonitis, osteoarthritis in the wrist or at the base of the thumb, or a ganglion cyst. There would be other possible explanations for your pain as well; these are just common sources of pain like this.
Oh and you might think you couldn't break your wrist without realizing it, but actually the scaphoid is a tiny bone in the wrist that is very prone to fracture, and it can happen without you realizing it and cause the comes-and-goes pain with certain activities that you report.
An x-ray of the wrist can usually spot scaphoid fracture or arthritis in the wrist or thumb. Usually a ganglion cyst will also produce a pronounced swollen, squishy lump along with wrist pain. A doctor examining you can manipulate your wrist and determine if there's a tendon problem by seeing if maneuvering the wrist, hand, or arm certain ways causes your pain to increase temporarily.
If it's a tendon issue, wearing a wrist brace during activities that make your pain worse, and most all, resting the wrist more (doing the activities as little as possible) can help it. The right gentle therapeutic exercise can also help it by strengthening the muscles and tendons there. However you should *not* completely rest this wrist and hand or wear a wrist brace or sling constantly unless a doctor tells you to, because doing those things can cause the muscles there to atrophy, which can make the pain situation worse.
Wishing you good luck, great care, and an end to this pain soon.
