A student is walking down a hallway when she yells hello from outside an open classroom door. Explain how reflection and diffraction can be used to explain why everyone inside the room can hear her voice.

Diffraction happens at the edges, like the frame of the door. It would cause sound waves to curve around the doorway and spread into the room.And I assume you know what reflection means, so just talk about how things can come in the door, bounce and reach other parts of the room.
