Go to VITA, there is no charge.

check out https://www.irs.gov/individuals/free-tax-return-preparation-for-you-by-volunteers . Yes TT will handle a 1098T, but maybe not the free version.

Yes, there are options for multiple W2s, etc.

Ignore the person who said to use a schedule C. That's for 1099-Misc forms, not a 1098-T.

If you file by paper, you add the W-2s together and include a copy when you mail it in.
If you file online, you MUST enter each W-2 separately.

The 1098-T depends on several things.
What's on it. Tuition paid? Or Tuition and Scholarships? If there is tuition only, there could be a credit (if you are a dependent, your parents claim it). If there is any scholarship information, this can be income. Then it depends on whether or not you are a dependent. If a dependent, talk with your parents.

There are several spots which can be done the idea totally free.
Using a number of W2s, simply put the knowledge jointly.
If your no cost software will not let you type in the knowledge on their own, just put that will data ahead of going into the idea.

If you are independent, yes. If you are still a dependent of your parent(s), give them the 1098T. The free version of Turbo may not let you use it. If it doesn't try the H&R Block site. There are other free file sites listed on www.irs.gov.

TurboTax is free for 1040A and 1040EZ. You can try using it with that form, but you may have to upgrade to the 29.99 version.....still less than paying 80 bucks at a tax preparer.

There are many places that you can do it for free.

With multiple W2s, you simply add the information together.
If the free program doesn't allow you to enter the information separately, simply add that information before entering it.

you can use any of the tax programs, any of them will cost you more for the extra coverage you will need since you have wages and self employment which will require a Sch C and SE you wouldn't otherwise have to include
