You could make a chocolate quick bread like the recipe below - but technically not a cake. There are tons of different chocolate quick bread recipe if you search - for comparison.

You can not make a cake in a bread maker.
The bread maker will stir the dough or in your case the batter, allow it to rest then stir it again, allow it to rest then stir then it will rest and bake. The stirring that is good for a bread to develop gluten will not be good for a cake.
You might be able to make a quick bread in a bowl, pour the batter into a loaf pan then let it bake in the bread maker. You would have to remove the paddle in the bottom of the pan that kneads the traditional bread. You would also have to let it run through most of the cycle before you put the quick bread in the bread maker. The cycle for most bread makers might be 3 hours. This includes kneading, resting and rising, kneading, rising and then baking. For a quick bread you would need 50 to 60 minutes of baking.

Can't be done. You will not be able to make a light, fluffy cake in a 🍞 maker. Whatever gave you such a weird idea in the first place?

Ingredient:
2 cups white sugar 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 2 eggs 1 cup milk 1/2 cup vegetable oil 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1 cup boiling water.
Direction:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two nine inch round pans.
In a large bowl, stir together the sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add the eggs, milk, oil and vanilla, mix for 2 minutes on medium speed of mixer. Stir in the boiling water last. Batter will be thin. Pour evenly into the prepared pans.
Bake 30 to 35 minutes in the preheated oven, until the cake tests done with a toothpick. Cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
