Yes.

arcsin(x) and sin⁻¹(x) are the same thing but in different notations.

Yes. Both are the inverse function of sine.

You might see some calculators that show:
sin⁻¹(x)
cos⁻¹(x)
tan⁻¹(x)

Other calculators might show:
arcsin(x)
arccos(x)
arctan(x)

And some others may abbreviate it as:
asin(x)
acos(x)
atan(x)

yes. arcsinθ is preferred, as sin⁻¹θ can be confused with 1/sinθ. In fact it is confused.

note that sin⁻¹θ is NOT the same as (sinθ)⁻¹

Yes. sin⁻¹x means the same as arcsinx, ie the angle that has a sine of x.
In modern terms, just think of "arc" as being replaced with "inv" for inverse function.

The notation sin⁻¹x is an abomination that should never have been allowed to happen.
It wouldn't be so bad except that sin²x is taken to mean (sin∅)² ie (sin∅)(sin∅)
which means there is no consistency in the meaning of a number in superscript next to sin
because by rights sin⁻¹x should mean 1/sinx, but it doesn't.
