Can someone plz help me with this!?
1) A physics student(100 kg) stands on the surface of Earth (5.98 x 1024 kg). The distance from the surface of the earth to the center of it is 6.38 x 106 m. What is the force of gravity on the student?
2) The student goes into a rocket ship and launches to 22,000 m above earth (so now, the distance from the center of Earth is 6.60 x 106. What is the force of gravity on the student now?

1)
Masses, m₁ = 100 kg, m₂ = 5.98 × 10²⁴ kg
Gravitational constant, G = 6.674 × 10⁻¹¹ Nm²/kg²
Distance, r = 6.38 × 10⁶ m
Force of gravity
= Gm₁m₂/r²
= (6.674 × 10⁻¹¹Nm²/kg²) × (100 kg) × (5.98 × 10²⁴ kg) / (6.38 × 10⁶ m)²
= 980 N
2)
Now, distance, r = 6.60 × 10⁶ m
Force of gravity
= Gm₁m₂/r²
= (6.674 × 10⁻¹¹Nm²/kg²) × (100 kg) × (5.98 × 10²⁴ kg) / (6.60 × 10⁶ m)²
= 916 N
