Would Best Buy let my exchange my broken pc for a new one?

Last week I bought a Gaming Pc for $1100 and the other day I turn it on just to see a blue recovery screen also known as the “Blue Screen of death”. I tried everything, I even talked to geek squad and they said they might be able to fix but it would take a while. It hasnt been 15 days yet.

Take it back to Best Buy TODAY! If they don't move you to the front of the line for repairs, call it a defective unit and demand a replacement on the spot. If they don't do that, jump up and down and make a scene. They'll hook you up just to get you to shut up and go away.

Within 15 days Best Buy will return it with a valid receipt as long as it's not physically damaged generally.

That said the "recovery" screen is not the same as a BSOD. Sometimes Windows will boot to the recovery environment if your PC was not properly shut down, and it may be able to boot up normally if you just choose "continue" from that screen.

Worse comes to worst, you just need to attempt a factory reset which is also possible from that menu. You will lose any data that has not been backed up other than the original factory software, but if it's less than 15 days old I wouldn't imagine there to be much on it yet.

Use the manufacturer's warranty. Geeksquad is a fraud.
