Let y° be the smaller angle.
Then, the greater angle = (y + 114.4)°

The two angles are supplementary :
y + (y + 114.4) = 180
2y + 114.4 = 180
2y = 65.6
y = 32.8
y + 114.4 = 147.2

Hence, the two angles are 32.8° and 147.2° respectively.

x + (x+114.4) = 180°
x = 32.8°
x+114.4 = 147.2°

Let x = the angle

180 - x = supplementary angle

Therefore

x - 114.4 = 180 - x

2x = 180 + 114.4

= 284.4

x = 147.2 ...........angle

180 - x = 32.8.......... supplementary angle

Supplementary means a sum of 180 degrees. The rest is pre-algebra.
