Is it doable to live on your own in high school?

So, I'm a junior. I will turn 18 November of my senior year. Right now I don't have a job, because I'm doing my CNA training as an elective. I will be certified in May. I will be working as a CNA over the summer, and will probably pick up a second job as well. As a CNA, I will be making $13 an hour and elsewhere I'll probably be making $10 an hour. I'm hoping to work 40 hours a week. I will save all of my money over the summer. I would really like to move out by January of my senior year and live on my own in a one bedroom apartment with my cat. Do you think it'll be doable?

it depends on how much things cost in your area and if someone will rent to you due to your age. good luck!

We don't know. You didn't tell us the total of what you will be earning during the summer or while you live on your own, and you didn't tell us what it will cost you to rent an apartment where you live, so the basic figures needed to know if you can afford to live on your own are missing. You also need to know all the expenses you'll have for things it's hard to live without, like phone, internet, electricity, transportation, food, and other incidental things. I'd say that if you don't know how to figure these things out and tell if you can afford them, you are not ready to live on your own. I moved out right after high school when I was a few months shy of 18. I knew what everything would cost and how much I'd have to make to afford it. So start doing some research about what things cost where you are.

You are probably going to find that many places are reluctant to rent to someone your age. You may also find that some places will not allow pets.
