Solubility is how many grams can dissolve in some given volume or mass of solution. That doesn t change but when you increase the amount of solvent it can dissolve more solute since increasing the amount of solvent doesn t change the solubility. Twice as much solvent can dissolve twice as much solute which is the same solubility.

The volume of solution has no effect on the solubility of table salt and table sugar.

The term "solubility" of a solute at a certain temperature is the maximum mass (in grams) of the solute dissolved in 100 g of water. At room temperature, no matter of what volume of solution is, the maximum mass (in grams) of the solute (table salt or table sugar) dissolved in 100 g of water is constant. In other words, the solubility of table salt and table sugar at room temperature is independent of the volume of solution.
