Question on magnetism below in the details?
Two magnetic poles, one of which is twice stronger than the other, repel one another with a force of 2.5*10^(-5)N, when kept at a separation of 0.2 meters in air. Calculate the pole strengths of the two poles.
回答 (1)
F = μ•qm1•qm2 / r²
2.5e-5 = μ•m•2m / 0.2²
µ2m² = 0.04•2.5e-5
m² = 0.04•2.5e-5 / 2•1.257e-6
m = 0.398 amp-meter
and the second is twice that.

Force between two magnetic poles
If both poles are small enough to be represented
as a single points then they can be considered to
be point magnetic charges. Classically, the force
between two magnetic poles is given by
F = μ•qm1•qm2 / r²
where F is force in newton
qm1 and qm2 are the magnitudes of magnetic poles in
amp-meter
μ is the permeability of the intervening medium
in tesla meter per ampere, henry per meter
or newton per ampere squared
r is the separation in meter
The permeability of free space (a vacuum ) is a physical constant equal to approximately 1.257e-6 henry per meter or N/m²
