Number of TV sets that 1 worker assemble in 1 hour
= 30 ÷ (10 × 8)
= 3/8

Number of TV sets that 40 workers assemble in 4 hours
= (3/8) × 40 × 4
= 60

It takes 80 worker-hours to assemble 30 sets.

160 worker-hours × (30 sets)/(80 worker-hours) = 60 sets

n= number of TV sets ; w=number of workers; h= number of hours
k is a constant
n is directly proportional to w and h
n=30 ; w=10; h=8

30 = k 1(10)(8)
30 = 80k
k=30/80
k= 3/8

n = (3/8) wh

when w=40 and h=4
n= (3/8)(40)(4)
n= 60

60 sets
