Like why do People get a foreign metal object inside their skin peiced and what is the passion or ideology behind it?

They think this makes them special and different than others.It is the same as trying to rebel with tattoos or wild colored hair.

b) if not tradition, then just to show that you're tough and can endure pain and that you want to look different. This is similar to getting tattoos or getting your hair braided like Africans.
