chemical equations. help please!?
my question below wants me to write a sentence that describes the equation... but they didnt provide an eqution... am I suppose to make one? how would I make the eqution.. Im so confused.
2. For the following, write a sentence that describes a chemical equation in which the listed chemical might be formed. Then, write the balanced chemical equation for the reaction.
a) carbon dioxide:
b) silver carbonate:
c) antimony (III) Chloride:
d) strontium hydroxide:
e) calcium phosphate:
回答 (3)
a) Calcium carbonate reacts with dilute hydrochloric acid to give calcium chloride solution, water and carbon dioxide gas.
OR: Burning carbon in excess oxygen gas to give carbon dioxide gas.
b) Mixing a solution of silver nitrate with a solution of sodium carbonate gives silver carbonate precipitate and sodium nitrate solution.
c) Heat antimony in chlorine gas to give antimony(III) chloride.
d) Reaction of strontium metal with cold water gives strontium hydroxide solution and hydrogen gas.
e) Mixing calcium chloride solution with potassium phosphate solution gives calcium phosphate precipitate and potassium chloride solution.
how would you make an equation though.. o.o
Yeah, you make up an equation and write it out. Pick a way to make CO2, or Ag2CO3 or any of the others. Use your imagination.
