Inside the home, snow should make no difference to WiFi as this is purely an interface between your router and your wireless devices. WiFi does NOT come from your ISP. Your ISP simply provides a connection to the Internet using a totally different interface. That interface is not carrying actual Ethernet or WiFi.

Snow can affect Internet speeds, especially with DSL using cables on poles rather than underground, although in some cases increased water or changes in temperature in the ground might affect the Internet service. This will affect both Ethernet and WiFi connected devices.

If you are trying to use WiFi outside, then snow could seriously affect its performance as it can interfere with radio wave propagation.

If you are transferring files between different devices in your own home using your private internal network, then snow should make no difference. It is only when you use the Internet that you should see any differences.

I hope this helps.

NOT unless you are trying to connect to your wifi from outside your house as the snow is outside. To get around that though, if that is the case, you will need a stronger wifi signal. A stronger signal will cut through any blockage or interference that the snow is creating. The best way of getting a stronger signal is to use higher gain antennas on your wifi router or wifi access point. Whichever you have. There are both omni-directional and directional antennas. If you are sending the signal out to a specific place e.g. your man cave, a shed, etc.. then you would use directional antennas. If you are just sending it outside in general, nowhere in particular, then you would use omnidirectional antennas. There are ways of amplifying the signal too, to get a stronger signal, but two problems arise with amplification. 1. You can overdrive the antenna. More power than the antenna can handle. 2. amplification introduces a small amount of interference into the signal. That means you will get a reduction in signal quality. As for your wife, I can't help you with that. LOL

It could especially if you are getting your wifi over the air. Like from a dish covered in snow. It could also be that there are lots of people who are at home and they are all on the internet. Like overworking the wifi system
