Is this normal for PTSD?

I have been hearing CONSTANT voices of murderers for months and months now straight after a traumatic event where I was almost murdered. I have PTSD. Is it normal to hear constant voices of murderers as a symptom of PTSD or is it real? How long does it last for? The voices sound like they are outside of my head, on loadspeaker and in the rooms and hallways around me and inside doors. Has anyone else experienced this? Thank you!!!

You should try to talk to a specialist for ptsd. I've not heard about that happening frequently to anyone in a waking state but auditory hallucinations in half-awake or a sleeping state are very common after being subjected to very high stress. I used to get woken up by auditory hallucinations where people were banging on my front door, old-fashioned buzzers, and ship bells. For a while I was completely convinced that they were real. It was a relief to find out that it wasn't unusual once I'd worked out that they weren't real. I think what you're experiencing sounds so severe only a specialist can guide you.

I haven't experienced it but it is a strong symptom of it. You should talk to someone like a counsellor
