Please help me in solving 8th question in a descriptive process?
Calculate the volume occupied by 2 moles of ideal gas at 2.5×10^5 Nm^-2 pressure and 300 K temperature
回答 (3)
Pressure, P = 2.5 × 10⁵ N m⁻² = 250 kPa
No. of moles, n = 2 mol
Temperature, T = 300 K
Gas constant, R = 8.314 kPa L mol⁻¹ K⁻¹
Gas law : PV = nRT
Then, V = nRT/P
Volume, V = (2 mol) × (8.314 kPa L mol⁻¹ K⁻¹) × (300 K) / (250 kPa) = 20 L = 0.02 m³
pV = nRT
(250 kPa)( V ) = (2)(8.314 Pa*m^3/molK)(300 K) =>
V = (600)(8.314) m^3/250000 = 0.01995 m^3 or 2.0 L.
The ideal gas law is PV = nRT. Just plug in what you know, and solve for V.
In SI units, you have P = 250,000 pascals
n = 2 moles
R = universal gas constant = 8.314 J / (K mol) = 8.314 m^3 Pa / (K mol)
T = 300 K
