I m trying to remove a component (potentiometer) from a pcb board, but i have no soldering iron. Is there a way to remove components without damaging them using only basic tools?

Might as well pick up a cheap soldering iron at a hardware or discount store. Maybe even eBay. It should be $10 or less. I got a basic soldering iron at a local flea market for $1.

When I was a boy, there weren't really good portable soldering irons, and certainly not in my budget. But I found that I could use a 4" or larger magnifying glass in full sun to melt solder. In a pinch, you might do the same.

FIND A BIG NAIL, HEAT IT UP WITH A TORCH OR STOVE, USE IT AS A SOLDERING IRON TO REMOVE PARTS FROM PCB.

A heat gun or small torch can be better for de-soldering, but a soldering iron is far cheaper, just a couple dollars.

A small blowtorch of cigarette lighter will melt the solder but the board will be damaged.

So even if you did remove it, what are you going to use to fix it into another position? They are made to be soldered.
Get a new pot.., a soldering iron and some solder.

no, you need a soldering iron. And de-soldering tools, such as copper wicks or suction devices. And experience, as it's easy to damage things.
