Problem with viewing footage on Garmin 55 Dashcam?

I ve been using the micro SD card that comes with the dashcam and I ve had no issues with it - I ve been able to view the clips on the dashcam itself and I ve been able to view them on my laptop. I switched over to a larger microSD with more space and a higher quality so I wouldn t have to clear it out as often, but I ve just checked on the dashcam and there s no videos available to view (there should be as I ve been driving around) and even though the clips appear on my laptop and the files themselves contain data, I m not able to view them? My best guess is it s a problem with the microSD itself but I m not sure what the problem is exactly? I don t want to keep using the lower quality microSD as they re less reliable. Any help appreciated, thanks.

it takes Class 10 SDHC (not to be confused with SDXC of other types) up to 64GB, what did you put in it? for info VLCplayer will play most mp4 content. keep your garmin up to date(2nd link)

You may be correct, large capacity SD cards are expensive and there are many fakes on the market, hacked to make them appear a larger capacity than they are. Alternatively check the garmin can handle high capacity microSD cards
