have them out and go to work and bleed all over the place, they will soon get the message
Simply tell your work place that you are having the surgery, and get the surgery done. All workplaces are required by law to give you sick leave. If they cause problems, tell them they are breaking the law.
Well surgery counts as "sick leave" so have the surgery and tell your employer that you had surgery and if you're fired, you can complain to the attorney and then you'll have your job back.
well your job can't fire you because of that and it's illegal for them to even do that
You could:
- Speak to your boss
- Get the dental practice/hospital to send a letter to your boss
- Ask your boss why s/he is reluctant to give you time off
- If s/he doesn’t give you a valid reason, request for them to speak with the dental practice/hospital
- Only if the case becomes extreme, you are definitely need time off and your boss refuses to give you time off, you are entitled to take legal action and (threaten to) sue the company
Hope this helps. And good luck, tooth extractions are painful.

Do you not have PTO/vacation/sick days? You can miss work and it will be excused with a doctors note. (Dental surgery is the same thing)
I had mine out in the morning and went back to work in the afternoon.I just had a local anaesthetic and it was easy.
I see some people saying “I was back at work the next day”. First, don’t live by this because I had mine removed (3 of them) on a Friday. I was starting a new job in that following Monday. When I tell you I was in a TREMENDOUS amount of pain, i mean it was bad. I ended up with an infection and a dry socket- so be careful and follow directions closely afterwards. Ask for antibiotics also. Not everyone has a bad experience but I know I did. So have tylonal and Advil in stand by and be ready to take a minimum of 2 days off just Incase. This is my 3rd week since the procedure and I am JUST now feeling better after two courses of antibiotics and two different pain meds. As for work, tell them you need time off, if they cannot accommodate you call Human Resources and see what types of accommodations or sick leaves you are offered.
This is why the world is ****** up.
Can you find co workers to cover your shift and then approach the boss or manager with it? Perhaps you need to talk to HR and bring a note from the Dentist explaining the medical emergency and why the procedure is needed and necessary.
Good luck
I was back at work the next day.
Not everyone takes a long time to recover.
Tell your job you need time off to recover from wisdom teeth surgery.
Can you schedule the surgery for a day when you would routinely have the next couple of days off work?.
I went to work the day after having wisdom teeth removed (one side at a time). It wasn't fun but it was quite possible while I was doing an office job. It would be crazy to do a physically active job or a job that involved a lot of talking for a few days after wisdom tooth removal.
