Like many conservative news stories, an attempt to smear a respectable man by claiming he vaguely knows someone who has done something bad.
If these rules were applied evenly, Fox News would be running stories about how the RNC is rife with Republicans who know pedophiles, since they invite them to the white house and have them sing at the RNC.
