The atomic number and mass number of Pd-106 are 46 and 106 respectively.
The atomic number and mass number of an alpha particle (He nucleus) are 2 and 4 respectively.
The both atomic number and mass number of a proton are 1.
Let Z and A be the atomic number and mass number of the new element, X, respectively.

The nuclear equation is shown below.

The total atomic number in the nuclear equation is unchanged :
46 + 2 = Z + 1
Z = 47
As the atomic number of X is 47, X is Ag.

The total mass number in the nuclear equation is unchanged :
106 + 4 = A + 1
A = 109

Hence, the new element is Ag-109.
