Any tips would be lovely thank you!

You test when you miss the next expected period. It takes AT LEAST 12 days after ovulation before pregnancy hormones are strong enough to register on the average store test and most store tests are more accurate if you wait until the period doesn't happen. Anything before that may not be accurate.

Apps only make predictions. It is not set in stone. Ovulation can be a little late or a little early any month.

Ovulation happens about 14 days before the next expected period. Your app is just using that basic fact to predict the most likely date based on past data you have entered about when your periods happen.

You might have already ovulated if the app is the only thing you are using to track it.

BTW, unless you have a major fertility issue, usually having sex every other day anytime you are not on your period will result in pregnancy within a few months. If doing that doesn't result in pregnancy within one year, then see a doctor.

An app can't tell you when you'll ovulate. All an app does is count days, which is by far the least accurate way to determine fertility. Why would you test a day after sex? Did you research anything at all before trying to conceive?

You wait a minimum of two weeks if you KNOW when you ovulated (meaning you were charting and have a definite dip/spike pattern to your BBT, or were monitored via ultrasound). It's three weeks if all you did was count days or use an app.
