I'm looking for a nice laptop. I'm a student that lives alone, so it need to be cheap. Any suggestions?

Yep I have a good laptop for you and this is rare because you usually don't get something which is cheap and at the same time good but in this case you're getting the mother of all laptops a $1,500 laptop and you can actually Google this and see the original price look on eBay and get yourself a Dell m4500 pick one with a nice bass processor and lots of RAM if they don't have a fast i7 get a fast I-5 they both Blaze this laptop has 1 gig graphics card and you can get these with up to 16 gig of RAM on eBay some of these even come with SSD and the price$300 or less the rating on this is the number one computer laptop made by Dell for quite a number of years check it out the specs are impressive and so is the performance

HP and Dell have good laptops. I had an HP that lasted me three years of college before I needed to get a new one this year. It's cheap and gets the job done. Kinda bulky, but otherwise it's worth the price (mine was $150).
