Did USPS lose my package?

I bought this necklace on Ebay as a Christmas present for someone. I ordered it more than a week age. The seller did provide a tracking number and shipped it. The last known place it was at was the USPS sorting facility in Warrendale, PA on November 25. The last update was on November 29 and it said in transit to destination. Its estimated delivery was November 30 and it is now December 2. I'm not blaming the seller I'm blaming USPS. Is it possible that they have a lot of mail to process since it is close to Christmas? Christmas is still over 3 weeks away so they shouldn't be too backed up.

Late November through December is probably the busiest time of the year for USPS so you're going to expect some delays in shipping unless you pay for express shipping of some kind.

Estimated dates are not guaranteed and should not be held as such.

Estimated delivery is just that -- that the package is in transit is the best sign you can receive....the package is making its way to the mailbox.

They are actually backed up.. as is any parcel company at the moment. You have to start ordering things for Christmas around about now and because everyone is doing it, it becomes a vicious circle and the problem gets worse. The amount of stuff ordered on line increases significantly each year and it hasn't bottomed out yet.

they done same thing with my top literally a day go if they extend it plus that day by one and it should be almost definitely there if it isn't call ups and see what the deal is

follow the instructions on tracking, there should be some documentation about delivery

This time of year you can expect delays in shipping. The delivery date wont be exact. The package may take a while to get scanned in at the next stop on the way.

Check the tracking again, is it still in transit or did it say 'delivered'?

If you don't see it by Monday, I'd call. But that status from USPS isn't the same as "out for delivery'

usps and put in the tracking number. Online was expected to do more then retail this year but it was even more then they projected it to be. So while places like Amazon and other online retailers may have been prepared for it, it seems none of the delivery company's were. Pretty much all of them from UPS to fedex, have been delaying orders by a few days to a week. I know, I receive deliveries almost daily year round, i watched it all suddenly slow down and the expected dates slowly being pushed back.
