HI (hydroiodic acid) is a strong acid which completely ionized in aqueous solution to give H⁺ ions.
Hence, [H⁺] in the solution = 2.09 × 10⁻³ M

pH = -log[H⁺] = -log(2.09 × 10⁻³) = 2.68
