do you mean "either or"
a) either or, it's 1/2 as that is 2 out of the 4 suites
but for hearts alone, or diamonds alone, it's 1/4
b)if it's either or, then 3/4
c) again, if it's either or, it's 1/12 + 1/4 = 1/12 + 3/12 = 4/12 = 1/3
