In the equation:

ΔE=nhv

What do the variables n and h stand for?

I know ΔE is the change in energy and v is the frequency, but I can't find n and h.

perhaps this:
Energy equivalent to an EM photon
E = hf, where h = Plank's constant 6.626e-34 Js
E = hc/λ (alternate form)
E is the energy of the particle in Joules
f is frequency in Hertz, λ is wavelength in meters
c is speed of light in m/s, aprox 3e8 m/s

if you had n photos, then it would be
E = nhf
(f is the usual symbol for frequency)
