Calculate the ionization energy of the lithium dictation, Li2+ using the expression for the energy levels of a one-electron atom: En = -RH Z^2 / n^2, where RH = 2.18 x 10^-18 J.

Please show how you got the answer so that I can use it as an example for similar problems in the future. Thanks.

RH = 2.18 × 10⁻¹⁸ J
Atomic number of Li, Z = 3
In ground state, n = 1

En = RH Z² / n² = (2.18 × 10⁻¹⁸ J) × 3² / 1² = 1,96 × 10⁻¹⁷ J
